Had Operation Smile not come to India, so many suffering people would have been left out of the mainstream social life. I am amazed by the discipline, behavior and the treatment that you all offered us. With such exceptional devotion you have been taking care of the patients! And yet you were never tired of serving us. Had you not operated on Rikta, her life would have been like a bud which dies unblossomed. Not just Rikta, you have helped so many amongst us to get back to normal mainstream life, whose lives otherwise would have been like pested flowers. May God bless you! You all have come from so many different countries to do us good and I have all my faith in you. Hence I would wait eagerly for your return so that Rikta gets an opportunity to get her palate done next time. 
I am so extremely happy to see my daughter with a new face; it's a new life for her. God made her see the light of this world with a cleft lip and palate. But now Operation Smile has given back her smile, her life. It was in January 2005 that I first came to Operation Smile, Bolpur. That time I had to go back home disappointed.
